“ UPDATED TO REFLECT CHANGES AT THE BOTTOM: from 3 stars back to 5 Sadly I have to change my review today. I absolutely love the food absolutely love the service and atmosphere is amazing. I lowered the star rating for this wonderful building I've been coming to since I was a child because of the new owners. Straight greed. I was more than appalled today to get a plate with 15 french fries on it for 2.99 plus 1.50 more for a scoop of gravy. 4.50 for literally 15 french fries. I took my son here for the first time in years so we could have the family experience I've enjoyed since I was a child myself. But this kind of broke the moment. 9 for a burger on top of 4.50 for this small amount of french fries. I was almost embarrassed. What a sad sad day. Hopefully these new greedy owners change their ways. Looks like I'm going to have to slide on down to Virginia Coney Island now on the other end of the block. At least I'll get my money's worth there! UPDATE: upon revisiting obviously the customers spoken owner heard! They have since made the fry portion a lot bigger so I'm changing my review back to five stars. I did eat a few french fries before I took the picture I was hungry! THANK YOU FOR WORKING WITH THE CUSTOMERS TO KEEP THIS PLACE AMAZING! ”

“ Had car trouble and was stranded here for 6 hours, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming as I waited for my wife. The entire staff excited all my expectations. The food smelled wonderful, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. If you ever find yourself in Jackson, Michigan i highly recommend you stop by the Coney Island at this location. “ Came in for lunch with my parents today while my daughter was in surgery. Dad had Coneys, mom had the party melt and I had my usual chicken grinder. Still pleased as always. Props to the new owner! Still doing your thing Big Dog! ”
“ Stopped in for a quick bite, wait time was minimal (5 minutes). Coney dogs with fries, they have a HUGE menu. Fresh root beer! Honestly, for a Coney Dog Joint, it's on par with the very best you'll find across the nation. Give it a whirl and GET YA A GLIZZY! ”
